In honor of his grandson's Bar Mitzvah, just before last Shabbat Attorney General Dr. Avichai Mandelblit arrived to pray at the Rachel's Tomb.

He was accompanied by Defense Ministry officials who gave him a special review of the extensive renovation done at the compound so far, as well as what is planned for the future. Mandelblit expressed that he was impressed with the plans before going inside to pray.

Rebbetzin Miriam Adani, director of the Rachel's Tomb Heritage Foundation, came to perform a challah (ritual tithing of dough) ceremony on the occasion of Tu B'Av near Rachel's Tomb and took the opportunity to emphasize to the Attorney General the importance of his visit to Rachel's Tomb, especially given the current political climate.
