MK Yisrael Eichler (UTJ) on Wednesday morning discussed the issues preventing his party from signing a coalition agreement.

"The problem right now is only Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu), who maybe made an agreement with [Blue and White leader] Yair Lapid in order to create a government without haredim," he told Kan Bet. "Otherwise, it's impossible to understand what he wants."

"Just like we don't interfere with Liberman and his voters with regards to what to eat and what to do, he shouldn't involve himself in our lives. I'm calling right now to Liberman: If you are a logical person and if you really are close to traidion, like they say - don't bring down a right-wing government. Don't worry about the haerdim - worry about the rightists - worry about employment, health, and education. Everyone talks about ideological things and not about what the nation needs."

Regarding Yisrael Beytenu's insistence on passing the Draft Law, Eichler noted, "Liberman's Russian community needs employment, housing, transportation, and health care. Since when does it need Bnei Brak and Beit Shemesh's residents to enlist?"

Eichler also slammed Liberman's insistence on working independently in the Defense Ministry: "The Defense Minister is subordinate to the Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister is subordinate to the government. It's not a dictatorship here. This isn't Russia."
