The Greek neo-Nazi Golden Dawn has released a new poll, claiming that it remains the third most popular party in Greece and that it is becoming increasing popular among the younger generation.

According to the most recent poll by Pulse RC, Golden Dawn has 13 percent support, placing it behind New Democracy on 19 percent and the SYRIZA party with 21 percent.

Polling was conducted among a representative sample of voters between July 11 and 17, The Commentator reported.

According the Golden Dawn's “International Newsroom” it is becoming increasing popular among the younger generation, holding 14 percent among individuals aged 18-29, 16 percent among 45-59 year olds and 8 percent among the population over 60.

The party has become notorious for its blatant anti-Semitic and xenophobic rhetoric and has been responsible for perpetrating attacks on Jews and foreigners.

It openly displays copies of “Mein Kampf,” as well as other works on Greek racial superiority at party headquarters.

Party leader Nikos Michaloliakos has claimed that Nazi concentration camps did not use ovens and gas chambers to exterminate Jews during the Holocaust.

"There were no ovens — it's a lie. I believe it's a lie. There were no gas chambers either," Michaloliakos said.

The party campaigned under the slogan “So we can rid the land of filth” and holds frequent rallies, chanting “Foreigners out of Greece!”

Furthermore, the group recently held an all-Greek blood drive and released a statement at the time saying, “All the bottles of blood we collect will be handed over to patients we choose and to no one else. This right to choose belongs not just to Golden Dawn members, but to all volunteer blood donors.”

A report by Human Rights Watch warned that xenophobic violence has reached “alarming proportions” in parts of Greece, and accuses authorities of failing to take the necessary steps to stop the trend.
